The Trust
RECREATE DORSET, formerly Bournemouth 2026 Trust is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. It was incorporated and registered with the Charity Commission in 2012.
RECREATE DORSET operates as a Community Land Trust and a Development Trust.
As a Development Trust, RECREATE DORSET is engaged in economic, environmental and social regeneration. The purpose is to make profits through trading, providing services and acquiring assets, (such as buildings and equipment) and to put the profits back into the community.
As a Community Land Trust RECREATE DORET develops and maximises community assets. It currently manages two community assets, TOSH (The Old School House) and Gladstone Mews.
The Trust originally managed the Local Area Agreement Reward Grant through an Investment Fund. The funding from the grant supported many local projects in Bournemouth. Please see the archive section for further information.
